Dr. Charlie Gray
Dr. Charlie Gray has been a practicing chiropractor since graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 2008. After graduating from Palmer, he moved with his family to Anchorage, Alaska where he practiced until 2020. In 2021, Dr. Charlie Gray became the new owner of Wellness One. Wellness One has a long-standing tradition of great customer service and values in caring for Hickory NC and surrounding areas. Dr. Charlie is excited to carry on that legacy.
Dr. Charlie was born and raised in Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University in 2004. He first found chiropractic when he was involved in a motor vehicle collision in the early 2000s that left him with a severe lumbar disc herniation causing long term foot numbness. Something inside him knew that surgery was not the right path for him. It was after extensive chiropractic care that he made a full recovery. It was then that he made the decision to become a chiropractor and help others.
While attending Chiropractic school in Davenport, Iowa, Dr. Charlie met his wife Jennifer who was from Alaska. While in school they had their first child, Ethan. After school, they moved back to Alaska to be closer to her family. In 2009, they had their second child Audrey and opened their chiropractic office together, all in the same year!! Dr. Charlie and Dr. Jennifer built a life together in Alaska and enjoyed their time there camping, hiking, fishing, hunting and spending time with their dog Wallace. The last 3 years in Alaska, their office was voted the #1 chiropractic office in Anchorage by the community. Going out on top, they decided it was time to move closer to Dr. Charlie’s family who is spread out all over the eastern United States.

At our office or for home care, we will prescribe precisely what your body needs after your spine is corrected. Spine first.
For moderate to severe disc problems of the neck and back, stenosis, arm pain, leg pain, weakness, numbness, and tingling.
We prefer a direct hands on approach. If needed, we will utilize our special tables and instrument adjusting tools.

Dr. Hunter Yoder
Dr. Hunter Yoder has been practicing Chiropractic since graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida in 2024. After graduation, he and his wife Abagail decided to trade the sand and beaches for hills and mountains! Dr. Yoder is excited to join the long-standing tradition here at Wellness One Chiropractic of great customer service and providing quality care to the Hickory area!
Dr. Yoder was born and raised in Ohio and graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 2021. Dr. Yoder found chiropractic through going with his mom as a kid. She previously suffered with lower back pain. He really saw the benefits firsthand in middle and high school when he ran cross country. He saw the benefits of improved performance in his running and improved times during meets. Having firsthand benefits and great results with himself and his mom, his passion to deliver chiropractic to the world grew! He decided during college that he wanted to share this amazing gift with others!
Dr. Yoder met his wife Abagail during undergrad. Together, they moved to Florida so he could attend chiropractic school. It was during their time near the beach that they had more of a desire for hills and mountains with warm weather. Together, they enjoy camping, hiking, mountain biking and just being outside. They are happy to call Hickory, NC their home!
