I am not a big fan of corporate America. We are all aware of the recent financial crisis in this country while top executives leave with their golden parachutes and millions of dollars. When I think of the weight loss industries, I think of big companies or name brands like Slim Fast, Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, and NutriSystem. I think of franchises like Curves. I look around at people I know, my friends, patients, and my own family members spending money on these programs to be all excited, lose a few pounds in the beginning, and then to have the weight come back and more! The discouragement in their voice and in their eyes is really sad.
Their attitude is, "Well it's just the way it is. This is how I am."
THIS IS COMPLETELY WRONG!
So many health problems occur from being over weight. The obvious ones like heart disease and diabetes.
